The Ultimate…Aberdeen Angus Beef with Red Onion Chutney at Marks and SpencerMarks & Spencer’s Ultimate…Aberdeen Angus Beef with Red Onion Chutney Sandwich has been voted the best new sandwich of 2011 by British consumers with Greggs taking both second and third places with their New York Deli Bloomer and Chicken Teriyaki with Sweet Onion Sauce Bloomer sandwiches.

The competition, which was run as part of British Sandwich Week and invited consumers to vote on-line for the best new sandwich launched this year, resulted in over 8000 people visiting the British Sandwich Week website and over 3000 voting in the competition.

The winner of the consumer draw attached to the competition was a pensioner from Dorset who won a holiday in Hawaii.

This M&S Ultimate Sandwich is exactly that…Ultimate Aberdeen Angus Beef sliced with an exclusive to M&S Caramelised Red Onion Chutney , within farmhouse white bread that is baked ‘Only for M&S’ to our special recipe using traditional baking methods.

The sandwich is then carefully placed into a black deli-style paper bag but to make sure you can eat it with ease we have included a handy recyclable plastic tray to eat your sandwich from!
